Doocot Whisky

Distilled from barley sourced less than six miles from the Kingsbarns Distillery in St Andrews, the flagship single malt Doocot has enjoyed a longer maturation in cask, maintaining balance and developing complexity. Production Director Isabella Wemyss has carefully selected a combination of Ex-Bourbon and STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) ex-Portuguese red wine casksto mature Doocot. Full of sweet, fruity character, Doocot is light, intensely fruity, floral and complemented by a rich colour coming from the high-quality casks it has matured in. 

REGION - Lowland

THE NOSE - Sweet and floral, soft brown sugar with banana cake batter and tropical notes

CASK - ex-Bourbon & ex-STR Red Wine Barriques

THE PALATE - Pineapple syrup, summer berries and a hint of rhubarb

CHARACTERISTICS - Non-chill filtered, Natural color

THE FINISH - Kiwi fruit and citrus zest
